Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to perform maintenance, repairs, and technical support for HVAC equipment across various client sites within Area 6, over a period of 4 months. The aim is to ensure reliable operation, timely repairs, and compliance with safety and technical standards for HVAC systems.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of HVAC equipment at multiple specified locations within Area 6, including Aliwal North, Barkly East, Sterkspruit, Palmietfontein, Floukraal, and Jamestown.
• Attendance at scheduled site visits and emergency repairs as required.
• Provision of qualified technicians with relevant trade certificates and licenses.
• Adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations during all service activities.
• Completion of all work within the specified 4-month contract period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• CIDB contractor grading of at least 1 ME or higher.
• Competence in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and air conditioning repairs.
• Provision of qualified personnel with relevant trade certificates (e.g., Refrigeration Mechanic Trade Test Certificate).
• Compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation and standards.
• Submission of detailed work plans, schedules, and safety plans prior to commencement.
• Use of approved materials and equipment that meet industry standards.
• Participation in site inspections and adherence to project specifications and scope of work.

Skills Requirements

The successful tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair projects, preferably within the public sector or similar environments.
• Qualified technical personnel with relevant trade certificates and licenses.
• Ability to respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
• Good health and safety record, with capacity to implement safety protocols on site.
• Effective project management skills, including scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in HVAC servicing.
