Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to replace the sewerage pump at Mthunzini Magistrate Court, under the Department of Public Works in KwaZulu-Natal. The project aims to ensure the proper functioning of sewerage systems by awarding the contract to the highest scoring acceptable tender, based on price and preference points, and to meet the department’s infrastructure maintenance needs.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Replacement of the sewerage pump at Mthunzini Magistrate Court.
• Provision of services in accordance with the specifications outlined in the tender documentation.
• Submission of proof of past experience and successful completion of similar projects (value above R200,000).
• Compliance with the requirements for registration on the Central Supplier Database.
• Adherence to the points allocation system based on price, preference, and specific goals as per PPPFA regulations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Replacement of sewerage pump as specified in the scope of works.
• Submission of CVs, Certified Trade Test certificates, and verification for employed artisans (Mechanical).
• Provision of award letters, orders, and completion certificates for similar projects exceeding R200,000.
• Participation in a site briefing session for clarification of scope.
• Compliance with all technical specifications provided in the tender documents.

Skills Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Experience in executing similar sewerage pump replacement projects.
• Qualified artisans, specifically Mechanical tradespersons, with certified trade test certificates.
• Capability to provide relevant project documentation such as award letters, orders, and completion certificates.
• Ability to meet the technical and safety standards specified by the department.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database.
