Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the replacement of the sewerage pump at the Mthunzini Magistrate Court, ensuring the proper functioning of sewerage systems in compliance with departmental standards and safety regulations.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Inspection and diagnostics of the existing sewerage pump and associated electrical and mechanical components.
• Replacement of the faulty sewerage pump with new equipment, including all necessary electrical and mechanical connections.
• Check and repair electrical systems, fans, motors, compressors, seals, shafts, impellers, couplings, electrical panels, coils, filters, and drains.
• Provision of detailed breakdowns of repairs, costs, and materials.
• Compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards during installation and commissioning.
• Provision of guarantees or warranties on new equipment and workmanship for a minimum of 6 months.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Replacement of the sewerage pump with a new, original, and certified unit.
• Inspection and diagnostics of electrical and mechanical components, including coils, filters, drains, and electrical panels.
• Adherence to manufacturer's specifications for installation, servicing, and repairs.
• Provision of detailed repair and replacement breakdowns on official letterhead.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including submission of a safety plan prior to commencement.
• Use of qualified artisans/technicians with proof of qualifications and registration.
• Guarantee or defects liability period of at least 6 months on all new equipment and workmanship.
• Proper inspection and diagnosis of the malfunction prior to quoting or repairs.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Qualified and registered artisans/technicians in mechanical and electrical equipment installation and maintenance.
• Experience in servicing, repairing, and replacing sewerage pumps and associated systems.
• Ability to carry out diagnostics, repairs, and installation according to manufacturer specifications.
• Provision of detailed breakdowns, cost estimates, and repair plans on official letterhead.
