Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to perform the service and repair of air conditioners within the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, Xhariep District 2, ensuring the proper maintenance and functionality of air conditioning systems in the building.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Servicing and repairing split units, cassette units, and other air conditioning systems across multiple magistrate courts and departmental buildings.
• Providing maintenance, repairs, and replacement of parts as necessary.
• Carrying out work in specific locations such as Bethulie Magistrate Court, FaureSmith Magistrate Court, Jacobsdal Magistrate Court, Koffiefontein Magistrate Court, and Rouxville Magistrate Court.
• Adhering to specified standards, including compliance with SABS and Public Works standards.
• Providing guarantees on workmanship and replaced parts, with specified durations.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of qualified refrigeration/air conditioning technicians with SARACCA/SAQCC accreditation.
• Use of approved, SABS-compliant parts and materials.
• Execution of work within the specified period (e.g., 5 days for certain services).
• Adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Provision of detailed reports, invoices, and proof of purchase for replaced materials.
• Implementation of a 3-month workmanship guarantee and a 12-month guarantee on replaced items.
• Compliance with the Facilities Management Conditions of Contract and relevant legislation.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Certified refrigeration and air conditioning technicians with SARACCA/SAQCC accreditation.
• Technical expertise in servicing, repairing, and maintaining split units, cassette units, and other air conditioning systems.
• Experience in executing similar projects within government or large institutional settings.
• Ability to provide detailed reports, invoices, and documentation as per tender specifications.
• Knowledge of relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Capacity to respond promptly to service requests and emergencies.
