Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the repair and rectification of the faulty power supply throughout the entire premises of the Harding Magistrate Court, located at Murchison Street. The aim is to ensure the electrical system is restored to proper working condition, compliant with relevant standards, and to prevent future electrical failures.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Testing, fault finding, and repairing the electrical distribution board (DB) and associated electrical systems.
• Conducting assessments on the electrical installation for compliance and issuing Certificates of Compliance (CoC).
• Providing a Safety Plan prior to commencement of work.
• Replacing or repairing damaged parts identified during fault diagnosis.
• Performing unplanned maintenance as per the specifications.
• Ensuring all work is completed within a contract period of two days.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify:

• Adherence to SANS10142 standards for electrical installations.
• Testing and fault diagnosis of the electrical system.
• Replacement or repair of damaged electrical parts, with detailed listing and pricing of parts to be repaired or replaced.
• Provision of a comprehensive Safety Plan before work begins.
• Completion of all documentation, including fault reports, safety certificates, and detailed work reports.
• Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Provision of proof of relevant electrical registration and qualifications of personnel involved.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Qualified electricians with valid trade test certificates and electrical contractor registration issued by the Department of Labour.
• Experience in electrical fault diagnosis, repair, and compliance assessment.
• Capability to carry out testing, repairs, and assessments within a tight two-day period.
• Provision of qualified and experienced personnel, including CVs and proof of professional registration.
• Ability to prepare and submit all required documentation, including safety plans, fault reports, and certificates of compliance.
