Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to manufacture, supply, and install a steel frame for PVC pipe inlet to two JoJo tanks, carry out repairs to leaks, remove a leaking pressure tank, and perform repairs at the Doris Goodwin Hospital administration area.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Manufacture of galvanized steel frames to secure pipes and repair leaking tanks.
• Installation of steel frames and mounting of water pump motors.
• Removal and replacement of leaking pressure tanks and installation of filtration systems.
• Repairs to leaking inlet pipes and toilets within the hospital premises.
• All work to be carried out on-site at Doris Goodwin Hospital, ensuring minimal disruption and compliance with site safety and standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Use of galvanized steel square tubes (40x40x3mm) for the frames.
• Manufacture of frames with base plates, bolted to concrete foundations.
• Mounting of 0.75 kW water pump motors on the fabricated frames.
• Installation of non-return valves, portable 3-stage filters, and repair of inlet pipes and toilets.
• Compliance with South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) codes, electrical regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Provision of a Certificate of Compliance for electrical installations upon completion.

Skills Requirements

The contractor must possess:

• Accredited plumbing and building qualifications (GB1).
• Experience in steel fabrication, installation, and repair works in a healthcare environment.
• Qualified personnel for electrical wiring, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and adhere to specifications and standards.
• Capacity to work on-site with minimal disruption, ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations.
