Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a compliant supplier for the one-off provision and delivery of essential electrical materials to Hlabisa Hospital, under the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health. Scope

The scope covers the supply and delivery of a wide range of electrical components and accessories, including lighting systems (fluorescent tubes, LED fittings, globes, flood lights), wiring and cables, switches, sockets, circuit breakers, extension boxes, tools, measurement devices, and a submersible pump. The contract is structured as a single delivery event to the hospital’s designated site. Technical Requirements

• Quality & Certification: All items must be SABS-approved, conform to applicable SANS specifications, and be brand new, unused, and free from manufacturing defects.
• Product Validity: Supplied goods must retain a minimum shelf life of six months from the date of delivery. Expired or near-expiry stock will be rejected.
• Delivery & Packaging: Goods must be delivered to the prescribed hospital address. Packaging must protect against transit damage, and all freight/handling costs must be included in the quoted price.
• Compliance Documentation: Bidders must submit fully completed official quotation forms, SBD 4 (Bidder Disclosure), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim), updated CIPC registration certificates, Central Supplier Database (CSD) verification, and SARS tax clearance proof.
• Evaluation Process: Offers undergo a four-stage assessment: administrative compliance, delivery capacity, specification adherence, and price/preference scoring.

Suppliers must demonstrate standard commercial and logistical capabilities, including inventory management, regulatory compliance, accurate order fulfillment, and reliable transport coordination to meet the delivery timeline.
