Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the yearly testing of the Main Air Receiver Safe Valve at Transnet Port Terminals Pier 2 Cvr Workshop. The aim is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of pressure relief valves through calibration and testing, complying with safety standards and technical specifications.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Testing of safety/pressure relief valves, including pressure relief valves (PRV) and minimum pressure valves (MPV).
• Calibration, resetting, and testing of the main air receiver safe valve to ensure it operates at the specified pressure of 1100kPa (14.5 bar).
• Provision of qualified SANAS-accredited technicians to perform the tests.
• Guarantees and warranties for a minimum of 12 months post-service.
• Adherence to specified lead times, with a maximum of 2 days for service completion.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of references demonstrating relevant experience (minimum of three traceable references).
• Guarantees and warranties valid for at least 12 months.
• Qualified technicians accredited by SANAS, with accreditation valid for at least 12 months from the date of service.
• Lead time for service delivery must be 2 days or less.
• Compliance with safety procedures, including shutting down and depressurizing the compressor before testing.
• Completion of scope of work as detailed in Annexure A, including pressure relief valve testing and calibration.

Skills Requirements

• Technicians must be accredited and certified by SANAS, demonstrating technical competence in pressure valve testing and calibration.
• Technicians must have relevant experience evidenced by reference letters and past work.
• Service providers must possess the capability to deliver services within a maximum of 2 days.
• Ability to provide warranties and guarantees for at least 12 months.
• Compliance with safety standards and procedures during testing operations.
