Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver full 48kg LP gas cylinders to King Dinuzulu Hospital, ensuring a reliable supply of gas for hospital operations. The process aims to select qualified suppliers through a competitive bidding process that adheres to departmental procurement policies and regulations.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of twenty (20) units of full 48kg LP gas cylinders to King Dinuzulu Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement covers all activities related to the sourcing, transportation, and delivery of the specified gas cylinders within the stipulated contract period, which is a once-off delivery. The tender also encompasses compliance with technical specifications, administrative requirements, and adherence to procurement policies.

Technical Requirements

• The gas cylinders must be full 48kg LP gas cylinders, conforming to relevant SANS/SABS specifications.
• Suppliers must provide compliant documentation including a current B-BBEE certificate, CSD registration, and SAHPRA license.
• All cylinders must be delivered in good condition, properly packed to prevent damage during transit.
• Delivery must be completed within the specified delivery period (e.g., 3 days or as agreed).
• Suppliers must submit samples if requested, and these samples must meet the specified standards.
• The quotation must include VAT where applicable, and total quotation prices should be valid for 90 days.
• All supplies must meet the relevant safety and quality standards as specified in attached specifications and evaluation criteria.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying and delivering LP gas cylinders to government or similar institutions, evidenced by previous orders and delivery proof.
• Ability to comply with technical specifications and safety standards for gas cylinders.
• Capacity to provide compliant documentation, including valid licenses, registration, and certification.
• Demonstrated logistical capability to deliver within the specified timeframe and to the designated location.
• Understanding of procurement policies, including adherence to the Preferential Procurement Regulations and departmental conditions.
• Capability to provide samples for evaluation if required, and to meet quality assurance standards.
