Objectives

Scope

The scope encompasses the procurement of various hardware items such as:

• Tool kits and essential maintenance tools
• Electrical components including power cables, switches, and surge protectors
• Lighting fixtures such as floodlights and LED tubes
• Security hardware including mortice locksets and cylinders
• Electrical accessories like multi-plugs and voltage testers
• Other related hardware as detailed in the specifications

The items are intended for use in health facilities and maintenance programs across the KwaZulu-Natal province, with delivery points specified at the respective health department offices and facilities.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that all hardware must:

• Conform to the specifications detailed in the annexed forms, including size, material, and quality standards
• Meet SABS approval standards where specified
• Be new, unused, and of the most recent models unless otherwise indicated
• Include necessary addenda and specifications attached to the tender documents
• Be properly packed to prevent damage during transit
• Be delivered within the specified timeframes, with clear delivery periods stated
• Include all relevant documentation such as invoices, delivery notes, and compliance certificates

Skills Requirements

Suppliers and their personnel must possess the following skills and competencies:
