Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure a service provider capable of delivering employee transportation services for Transnet Port Terminals (TPT). The provider must ensure timely, safe, and compliant transportation of employees to and from relevant terminals, maintain accurate documentation, and adhere to safety and operational standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Transporting employees/shift rostered staff to relevant TPT terminals.
• Providing monthly statements reflecting all services rendered, payments made, and outstanding invoices.
• Submitting accurate invoices and supporting documentation on time.
• Ensuring driver compliance with licensing, medical, and competency requirements.
• Maintaining safety standards through driver training and incident management.
• Providing proof of insurance, licenses, and certifications as required.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Timely submission of invoices and supporting documentation (monthly, within 30 days).
• Accurate record-keeping of all activities, including driver rosters, incidents, and training.
• Provision of a monthly statement detailing services, payments, and outstanding amounts.
• Compliance with licensing, medical, and competency certifications for drivers, with documentation submitted at least one week prior to expiry.
• Provision of proof of insurance coverage (value not less than R10 million) valid at the time of expiry.
• Ensuring all drivers have completed required safety and awareness training, with records available for inspection.
• Adherence to safety KPIs and incident reporting protocols.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required include:

• Drivers must possess valid provincial licenses and relevant competency certificates.
• Drivers must have completed accredited first aid and safety awareness training, with documentation available annually.
• The service provider must have personnel capable of maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Personnel must be able to respond promptly to incident reports and safety queries.
• The provider’s management team should be able to prepare and submit detailed reports and statements as per the specified schedule.
