Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, deliver, and install a Jojo tank adjacent to the CSSD behind the autoclave machine at Madadeni Hospital. The installation includes connecting the tank to the main water supply, installing a booster pump with automatic flow control, and ensuring all associated electrical and plumbing components are properly set up to meet operational standards.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Installation of a registered CIBD SO contractor to carry out the tank installation.
• Cutting the main water supply to the autoclave and connecting it to the new Jojo tank.
• Supply and installation of a 0.7 kW booster pump with automatic flow control.
• Supply and installation of 1-inch piping with T-piece connections.
• Running 2.5 mm² surfix cable inside the pipe for electrical connections.
• Supply and installation of a 20A breaker and IP65 waterproof plug.
• Ensuring the pump is protected from rain and the Jojo tank is mounted on a concrete slab measuring 2.2m x 2.2m x 0.2m.
• Site cleanup post-installation and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Use of SABS-approved materials and components.
• Proper electrical wiring with a 0.7 kW booster pump, 20A breaker, and waterproof IP65 plug.
• Concrete slab foundation for the Jojo tank.
• Installation of necessary valves (ball valve, non-return valve, ball valve for Jojo), elbows, and cable conduits.
• Compliance with health and safety standards, including site cleanliness and protection from weather elements.
• All work to be completed within a 1-day contract period, ensuring neatness, safety, and high-quality workmanship.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Valid CIBD SO contractor registration for installation work.
• Experience in plumbing and water tank installations, particularly with Jojo tanks.
• Qualified electrical skills for wiring pumps, breakers, and waterproof plugs.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to hospital environments.
• Ability to work efficiently within a tight timeframe (1 day) while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Capability to coordinate site cleanup and ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
