Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supply and delivery of tools and loose gear to Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ). The aim is to ensure the provision of high-quality, well-maintained tools and equipment that support the operational needs of JCPZ, promote service excellence, and uphold ethical standards in procurement and service delivery.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply and delivery of various tools and loose gear as specified in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ). This encompasses items such as tool cabinets, cordless grinding/engraving tools, tyre inflation gauges, power bars, and other related equipment. The procurement process involves adherence to specified technical and quality standards, registration requirements, and compliance with relevant procurement policies.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and specifications for each item.
• Items must meet the detailed technical specifications provided, including quality, durability, and safety standards.
• Items such as tool cabinets should incorporate features like powder coat paint, full-extension friction drawers, external lock bars, and modular storage systems.
• Tools like cordless grinding/engraving devices must have specified battery capacity, speed ranges, ergonomic design, and accessory sets.
• Inflation gauges and power bars must conform to technical specifications including operating pressure, hose length, and drive size.
• All items must be delivered in accordance with the delivery schedule and in the specified quantities.
• Suppliers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide relevant registration numbers.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• Completion of mandatory administrative requirements such as a municipal statement not older than three months, valid COIDA certificate, and signed joint venture agreements if applicable.
• Provision of valid tax clearance certificates, CSD registration, and compliance with procurement evaluation criteria.
• Demonstrated capacity to supply the specified tools and equipment, including relevant experience and technical capability.
• Ability to respond within the stipulated response time (seven days from request issuance).
• Adherence to ethical standards, including compliance with the Code of Ethics, anti-corruption policies, and supply chain management practices.
• Registered and qualified personnel with relevant technical skills to handle procurement, delivery, and after-sales support.
