Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure cleaning materials for Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ). The initiative aims to ensure the supply of quality cleaning products that meet the operational needs of JCPZ, supporting its commitment to service excellence, environmental sustainability, and ethical business practices.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses the supply of various cleaning materials and related products, including but not limited to:

• Pine gel 5Lt
• Furniglos 500ml
• Floor polish and polymer acrylic liquids
• Bleach super brite 5Lt
• Deo blocks 5Lt
• Handy Andy 5Lt
• Dish soap 5Lt
• Microfiber cleaning cloths
• Long hair mop, soft broom, trolley bucket, stripper, toilet brush, toilet paper (single and double ply), refuse bags, furniture spray, urinal chemicals

The products are intended for use across various facilities managed by JCPZ, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and adherence to specifications outlined in the tender documents.
• Provision of valid certifications such as COIDA Certificate, joint venture agreements (if applicable), and compliance with all regulatory and legal standards.
• Submission of all required forms (e.g., MBD 1, MBD 3.1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9) duly completed.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provision of CSD vendor number if not already registered.
• Compliance with COVID-19 restrictions for quotation submissions and site briefings.
• Adherence to evaluation criteria, including quality, compliance, and delivery timelines.

Skills and Competency Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in supplying cleaning and hygiene products to large organizations or municipal entities.
• Capacity to meet quantity demands and deliver within specified timeframes.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to provide valid certifications and documentation as proof of compliance.
• Financial stability and capacity to undertake the supply contract.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and adherence to ethical standards, including anti-corruption and anti-fraud policies.
