Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply, mount, and configure a Head Office Wireless Controller and Access Points to enhance the organization's wireless network infrastructure. The project aims to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance wireless connectivity across the Head Office facilities.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of wireless controllers and access points compliant with specified technical standards, their installation, configuration, and integration into the existing network environment at the Head Office. Only bidders who are appointed on the panel of service providers for supply and maintenance of ICT hardware for JCPZ/ICT09/2023 are eligible to respond.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of one Wireless Controller supporting IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards, with features such as VLAN tagging, Link Aggregation, and support for various RFC protocols (e.g., RFC 2131 DHCP, RFC 5415 CAPWAP).
• Provision of Cisco Wireless 9172 Access Points (Indoor and Wall Plate variants) supporting Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), 802.11ax, 802.11ac, and 802.11n standards, with data rates up to 9 Gbps or 5 Gbps depending on model.
• Access points must support multiple frequency bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz), with features like OFDMA, MU-MIMO, WPA3 security, and dynamic frequency selection.
• Compliance with relevant safety, EMC, and radio standards, including IEC, FCC, EN, and other international certifications.
• Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, management interfaces (HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, serial), and environmental specifications suitable for operational conditions.
• Installation and configuration to ensure seamless integration with existing network infrastructure, with support for management protocols such as SNMP, NETCONF, and RMON.

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in Cisco wireless network solutions, including configuration and management of Cisco Catalyst 9800 Series controllers and Cisco IOS XE software.
• Experience with deploying and configuring Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) access points, including advanced features like OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and beamforming.
• Knowledge of network security standards such as WPA3, 802.1X, RADIUS, and IPsec protocols.
• Ability to interpret and implement RFC standards related to networking, routing, security, and management protocols.
• Skills in network troubleshooting, performance optimization, and integration of wireless solutions into existing LAN/WAN environments.
• Understanding of environmental and safety compliance standards relevant to ICT hardware deployment.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills to ensure proper installation, configuration, and handover.
