Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the supply and delivery of bottled water, specifically 500ml bottles, to Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ). The aim is to establish a reliable supplier panel to ensure consistent provision of bottled water in accordance with specified standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of bottled water (500ml) and sparkling bottled water (500ml).
• Adherence to technical specifications outlined in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)/Specifications.
• Participation in mandatory site briefings and submission of all required documentation.
• Compliance with administrative, technical, and legal requirements as specified in the tender documents.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)/Specifications as part of the submission.
• Provision of proof of residence for directors (municipal statement not older than 3 months or valid lease).
• Valid COIDA Certificate from the Department of Labour (Letter of Good Standing).
• Submission of a valid Joint Venture agreement, if applicable, detailing contributions, participation percentages, management structures, dispute resolution measures, and regulatory compliance.
• Adherence to all special and additional conditions specified in the tender documentation.
• Completion and submission of prescribed forms (e.g., MBD 1, MBD 3, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9).
• Submission of pricing schedules with firm prices, including delivery costs.

Skills and Competency Requirements

The skills and competencies required from bidders include:

• Demonstrated ability to supply and deliver bottled water in accordance with technical specifications.
• Experience in managing supply chain logistics for perishable or consumable goods.
• Compliance with all administrative and legal requirements, including tax compliance and registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Capacity to respond promptly to requests within specified timelines (e.g., responses within 7 days to RFQ requests).
• Ability to complete and submit all required documentation accurately and comprehensively.
• Understanding of procurement policies, including adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols for submission of quotations.
