Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure pest control services for JCPZ depots, ensuring effective management and eradication of pests such as rats and mice through internal and external baiting and spraying, in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Scope

The scope includes providing pest control services across various JCPZ sites, including depots, cemeteries, parks, and other facilities within Johannesburg. The services involve quarterly pest control treatments, installation of bait stations, and internal and external spraying as specified in the detailed site list.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and specifications
• Provision of valid COIDA Certificate (Letter of Good Standing)
• Submission of a valid Joint Venture agreement if applicable
• Adherence to the specified pest control methods: spraying, baiting, and bait box installation
• Installation of new bait stations as part of the service
• Compliance with evaluation criteria, including submission of completed MBD forms (MBD 1, MBD 3, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9)
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provision of vendor number if applicable

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Service providers must demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in pest control services, particularly in urban and municipal environments
• Ability to install and maintain bait stations and carry out internal and external spraying effectively
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Provision of qualified personnel with appropriate certifications and training in pest management
• Capacity to respond within specified timelines and adhere to service schedules
• Understanding of regulatory requirements such as COIDA and other relevant legislation
