Objectives

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various steel sheets and related metal products, including treaded plates, mild steel sheets of different thicknesses, expanded metal, angle iron, galvanised shackles, and general-purpose metal packs. The quantities are specified per item, with the total expected quantities outlined in the quotation form.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and specifications in full.
• Provision of steel sheets with specific dimensions and thicknesses, such as 1.200 x 2.400 meters with 1.6mm, 2mm, or 3mm thickness.
• Compliance with the specified standards for each product, including treaded plates, expanded metal, angle iron, and galvanised shackles.
• Submission of all required documentation, including valid certificates and proof of compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Adherence to delivery timelines and submission procedures as outlined in the tender documentation.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying steel and metal products to municipal or large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of relevant technical standards and specifications for steel materials.
• Ability to complete and submit all administrative and regulatory documentation accurately, including COIDA certificates, joint venture agreements (if applicable), and tax compliance certificates.
• Capacity to meet delivery deadlines and handle procurement procedures, including filling out forms such as MBD 1, MBD 3.1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, and MBD 9.
• Understanding of procurement regulations, including preferential procurement regulations and bid evaluation criteria.
• Skills in bid preparation, including pricing, technical compliance, and documentation management.
