Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure an Advanced Snake Handling Course, including the treatment of snakes and dangerous snakes for medical or veterinary purposes. The course aims to enhance snake handling skills, ensure safety, and provide outcomes related to snake treatment and handling techniques.

Scope

The scope encompasses the delivery of an advanced snake handling training course for 20 snakes, including a breakdown of costs per person, course content, duration, and assessment methods. The course must cover handling and treatment of snakes, including dangerous species, and the presenter must have the necessary transport permits for the snakes.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) / Specification.
• Submission of accreditation with the Field Guides Association of South Africa (FGASA) in the name of the company or facilitator.
• Provision of a valid COIDA Certificate from the Department of Labour (Letter of Good Standing).
• Submission of a valid Joint Venture (JV) agreement if applicable, signed by all parties with all regulatory documents.
• Adherence to specifications outlining outcomes, course content, duration, and assessment methods.
• Transport permits for handling dangerous snakes.
• Costs must be detailed per person and inclusive of all delivery costs, taxes, and levies.
