Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to facilitate the removal of dangerous trees within Region E of Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ). The initiative aims to ensure safety, environmental management, and maintenance of public spaces by engaging qualified service providers to carry out the specified tree removal activities.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses the removal of dangerous trees classified as 3XL size, with a total quantity of 6 units. The work is to be performed at the specified site located at 113 Elizabeth Avenue, Benmore Gardens, as per the provided specifications and Bill of Quantities (BOQ). The contract is limited to bidders who are already appointed on the panel of Horticulture, Arboriculture, and Conservation Maintenance Services of JCPZ/RM01/2022.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and adherence to the specifications provided.
• Mandatory attendance at a site briefing scheduled for 16 April 2026, from 09:00 to 10:00 am.
• Provision of proof of relevant certifications and compliance with safety standards, including valid COIDA certificates.
• Submission of all required administrative and regulatory documents, including joint venture agreements if applicable.
• Proper disposal of removed trees and debris as per environmental and safety standards.
• Adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols during site activities.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in arboriculture and tree removal services, particularly for dangerous or large trees.
• Ability to interpret and execute technical specifications and BOQ documents accurately.
