Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure supply and delivery of consumables for Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ) in Region A. The initiative aims to ensure the availability of essential consumables to support operational activities, promote service excellence, and uphold ethical standards within the organization.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various consumables including:

• Oil Absorbent Mat- Supersorb (38x48cm, Pack of 50)
• Hydro-Carbon Degreaser (20L)
• Polypropylene Twine (1kg)
• LED Super Bright Rechargeable Torch
• Microwave (30L)
• Industrial Shower Mats

The contract covers the provision of these consumables to support JCPZ’s operational needs within Region A, with specific quantities and specifications outlined in the RFQ.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)/Specification as per the RFQ.
• Provision of valid certificates such as COIDA (Department of Labor) and relevant joint venture agreements if applicable.
• Adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards, including registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Submission of all required forms (e.g., MBD forms) completed and signed.
• Compliance with the evaluation criteria, including responsiveness within specified response times.
• Delivery of consumables in accordance with specified quality and specifications, with costs inclusive of delivery at the designated destination.

Skills and Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Administrative competence, including proof of residence, valid certificates, and registration on the CSD.
• Financial capacity to supply the specified consumables, evidenced by accurate pricing and total cost calculations.
• Legal compliance, including tax clearance, VAT registration, and adherence to procurement policies.
• Experience in supplying similar consumables, with references and proof of past performance.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to meet quality standards.
• Capacity to deliver within the stipulated timelines and respond promptly to RFQ requests.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, including completion of relevant forms (MBD 1, MBD 3.1, MBD 4, etc.).
• Commitment to ethical practices, transparency, and compliance with JCPZ’s Code of Ethics and related policies.
