Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the supply and delivery of cleaning materials to Johannesburg Zoo, ensuring the provision of quality cleaning supplies to support the zoo's operations. The tender aims to establish a panel of qualified service providers who can deliver these materials efficiently, adhering to specified standards and requirements.

Scope

This tender covers the supply and delivery of various cleaning materials, including refuse bags, cleaning gels, floor polish, dust masks, and related products as specified in the RFQ. It applies to service providers capable of fulfilling the quantities listed and meeting the technical and administrative requirements outlined by Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo.

Technical Requirements

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and specifications as per the RFQ.
• Provision of valid certificates such as COIDA (Department of Labor), joint venture agreements (if applicable), and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Adherence to the specifications for each product, including quantities and quality standards.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database of National Treasury (CSD) and provision of the CSD vendor number.
• Submission of completed forms such as MBD 1, MBD 3.1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 8, and MBD 9, along with the quotation.
• Compliance with COVID-19 protocols for quotation submission at designated points.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying cleaning materials and related products to large organizations or institutions.
• Ability to meet the administrative and logistical requirements, including timely delivery and proper documentation.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including health and safety standards relevant to cleaning supplies.
• Capacity to provide valid certificates and documentation demonstrating compliance with labor, tax, and supplier registration requirements.
• Competence in completing and submitting all required forms accurately and within specified timelines.
• Understanding of COVID-19 safety protocols and submission procedures for quotations.
