Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver key-alike padlocks for the Tango Section at JHB Zoo, ensuring standardized locking solutions that meet specified quality and security standards. The procurement aims to enhance security and operational efficiency within the zoo facilities.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of 50mm brass key-alike padlocks, with the requirement that all padlocks are keyed alike for ease of access and management. The tender is limited to bidders who are already appointed on the panel of service providers for stationery, consumables, cleaning materials, and refreshments of JCPZ/BS04/2023, and must comply with the specifications outlined in the Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Technical Requirements

• Supply of brass padlocks, 50mm size, Viro keyed alike.
• All padlocks must conform to the specifications detailed in the RFQ, including durability and security standards.
• Padlocks must be delivered in accordance with the quantities specified (60 units).
• All padlocks should be compatible with existing security systems and meet the specified quality standards.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying security hardware, specifically padlocks, to similar institutions or organizations.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards outlined in the RFQ.
• Capacity to deliver within the stipulated timeframe and adhere to logistical requirements.
• Compliance with administrative and regulatory requirements, including valid certifications and registration with relevant authorities (e.g., CSD registration, tax clearance).
• Understanding of procurement procedures and adherence to the bidding process, including completion of all required forms and documentation.
