Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations from qualified professional service providers to undertake geotechnical investigations, topographical surveys, and related engineering assessments for the Himeville Magistrates Court upgrade project. These investigations aim to provide essential site-specific data to inform the detailed design, construction planning, and upgrade works, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal infrastructure development.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Conducting geotechnical investigations including walkover surveys, excavation of inspection pits (up to 1.5m or 2.0m depth), sampling, in-situ testing (DCP), and laboratory analysis.
• Mapping existing site features, structures, and services, including boundary confirmation, pegging, and establishing benchmarks.
• Providing a comprehensive geotechnical report detailing soil and rock classification, stability assessments, foundation recommendations, and groundwater conditions.
• Performing a topographical survey of the entire property, including existing structures, services, roads, and contours with a minimum of 5m interval data.
• Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, liaising with site management, and adhering to environmental and safety standards.
• Providing all survey data in DWG format with separate layers, and submitting final reports and survey documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Appointment of registered geotechnical engineers with relevant professional indemnity and liability insurance, proof of which must be submitted prior to work commencement.
• Carrying out site investigations with minimal disturbance, respecting existing services and infrastructure, and backfilling test pits immediately after completion.
• Providing detailed geotechnical reports with soil classification, stability analysis, foundation design recommendations, and groundwater assessments.
• Mapping existing site features, including structures, services, roads, and contours, using accurate survey methods and GIS-compatible DWG files.
• Adhering to all relevant legislation, safety protocols, and environmental regulations during investigation and survey activities.
• Maintaining insurance coverage for professional indemnity, public liability, and damage to existing services, with proof submitted before site work begins.
• Coordinating with the project team and site management, ensuring safe access, bush clearing if necessary, and proper site conduct.
• Submitting all survey data, reports, and documentation in the formats specified, within the stipulated project timelines.
