Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a 3-piece fabric lounge suite for Dundee Hospital, ensuring the supply of quality furniture that meets specified standards and standards compliance, with a focus on preference for Black African women-owned companies and adherence to procurement policies.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and potential installation of a lounge suite consisting of three fabric-upholstered pieces, including two double-seaters and one single-seater, along with a coffee table. The procurement covers the entire process from quotation submission, technical compliance, to delivery at Dundee Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal.

Technical Requirements

• The lounge suite must comprise three pieces: two double-seaters and one single-seater, fully upholstered in fabric.
• The fabric must be of a modern design, fully upholstered, with double-stitched seams, and spring-supported padded seats.
• The colour of the sofa should be black, and the material must be fabric touch.
• The coffee table should be black brown, made of solid wood, with two shelves, dimensions 90cm x 90cm x 46cm.
• The furniture must be SABS or SANS approved and meet quality standards specified in the annexure.
• Delivery must be in accordance with the specified delivery schedule, with all packaging and documentation compliant with contractual requirements.
• Suppliers must provide proof of SABS/SANS approval and relevant certification.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate capacity to supply and deliver furniture items as per specifications, supported by previous orders and delivery notes.
• Bidder must provide proof of compliance with technical specifications, including SABS or SANS approval.
• Bidder must have experience in supplying hospital or similar institutional furniture, evidenced by prior orders and references.
• Bidder must be registered on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide valid registration details.
• Bidder should possess the ability to meet delivery timelines and provide after-sales support, including warranty services.
• Technical competence will be assessed through submission of samples (if required), compliance documentation, and previous relevant experience.
