Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to execute comprehensive maintenance, repair, and minor renovation works at the Kwambonwa Water Waste Treatment Works (WWTW) for the Ugu District Municipality. The municipality seeks a reliable contractor to restore and maintain facility infrastructure in accordance with municipal standards and operational requirements.

Scope of Work

The scope is structured around a detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and includes the following categories:

• External Structures: Surface preparation using poly filler, application of two coats of exterior acrylic paint, and roof leak rectification via waterproofing treatments.

• All quotations must be priced strictly according to the provided BOQ.
• Bidders must utilise official, unaltered Municipal Bidding Documents (MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9) for submission.
• Proof of tax compliance (TCS PIN or CSD number) is mandatory.
• Bidders must submit sworn declarations confirming independence from state employees, absence of fraud/corruption convictions or contract breaches in the past five years, and certification that bids were prepared independently without collusion.
• Physical submission in sealed, correctly endorsed envelopes is required; electronic, faxed, late, or incomplete submissions will be automatically disqualified.
• Quotations must remain valid for thirty days from the closing date.
• All electrical and plumbing works must comply with relevant South African National Standards (SANS) and municipal health and safety regulations.
