Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the major and minor servicing of the HVAC system in the theatre at Mbongolwane Hospital. The aim is to ensure the HVAC system operates efficiently, is properly maintained, and any leaks or issues are addressed to maintain a safe and functional theatre environment.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Major and minor servicing of the HVAC system in the theatre at Mbongolwane Hospital.
• Servicing of 4 theatre HVAC units as per departmental service schedule.
• Sealing leaking units and overhead ducting.
• Reporting on service outcomes.
• Reprogramming controllers and set points.
• Checking evaporator fan motors and gas gauge levels.
• Replacing filters including pleated filters (595x595x50) and 95% dispo filters (600x600x300).

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Possess a valid tax clearance certificate.
• Be registered in CIDB grade 2 or above (Mechanical Engineering).
• Have a qualified artisan available for the project, with proof of qualification required.
• Attach three copies of completion certificates for previous relevant work.
• Service all units as per departmental schedule, including sealing leaks, reprogramming controllers, and checking fan motors and gas levels.
• Replace specified filters with the correct sizes and quantities.
• Submit a detailed report and signed declaration form from SCM.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Competence in HVAC system maintenance and servicing, specifically for theatre environments.
• Qualified artisans with relevant certifications and experience in HVAC systems.
• Ability to perform leak sealing, controller reprogramming, and component checks.
• Experience in working within hospital or sensitive environments, adhering to departmental standards and safety protocols.
• Capacity to provide detailed reports and documentation post-service.
