Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the provision of major and minor servicing of cooling towers at Queen Nandi Hospital, in accordance with the specified standards and requirements. The aim is to ensure the cooling towers are maintained to optimal operational standards, complying with South African National Standards (SANS), to support hospital operations and safety.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Performing major and minor maintenance services on two cooling towers at Queen Nandi Regional Hospital.
• Adhering to the detailed specifications outlined in the annexure, including compliance with SANS standards.
• Providing services as a one-time contract, with the possibility of additional incidental services if required.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Conducting comprehensive servicing of cooling towers, including cleaning, inspection, and necessary repairs.
• Compliance with South African National Standards (SANS) for cooling towers.
• Providing detailed operations and maintenance manuals if applicable.
• Ensuring all work is performed by qualified personnel, including trades such as mechanical fitters with appropriate trade certificates.
• Submitting an execution plan aligned with the contract period.
• Providing proof of previous successful service delivery, including order and completion certificates.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for bidders include:

• Qualified mechanical fitters or technicians with trade test certificates.
• Experience in servicing cooling towers, preferably with prior work in healthcare or similar environments.
• Ability to prepare and submit detailed maintenance and execution plans.
• Capability to comply with safety, quality, and standards specified in the tender documentation.
