Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider to perform a major service of mortuary cabinets, cold rooms, and associated refrigeration equipment at St Apollinaris Hospital. The aim is to ensure that the hospital's refrigeration and mortuary facilities are maintained to standard, operational, and compliant with relevant specifications.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing a major service on 14 units comprising mortuary cold rooms, mortuary cabinets, and food service cold rooms.
• Ensuring all equipment meets specified standards and specifications.
• Providing services that are compliant with CIDB Grade 1 or above requirements.
• Attaching relevant trade test certifications and references of similar completed jobs.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the service include:

• Major servicing of 14 refrigeration units, including mortuary cold rooms, cabinets, and food cold rooms.
• Company must be CIDB grade 1ME or above.
• Attach South African trade test certification in refrigeration for the personnel performing the work.
• Provide two reference copies of successfully completed and paid orders for similar jobs.
• Comply with detailed specifications attached in the tender documentation.

Skills Requirements

The skills requirements for the service provider include:

• Qualified refrigeration technicians with CIDB Grade 1ME or higher.
• Personnel must possess South African trade test certification in refrigeration, approved by SAQA.
• Experience in servicing hospital refrigeration and mortuary equipment.
• Ability to provide references of similar completed projects demonstrating technical competence.
