Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Medical Gas Plant Services for Victoria Mxenge Hospital under the Department of Health in KwaZulu-Natal. Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of medical gas plant servicing, maintenance, and repairs at Victoria Mxenge Hospital.
• Attendance to scheduled service schedules and emergency repairs for various medical gas systems and associated equipment across multiple hospital departments.
• Compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and quality standards as specified in the tender documents.
• Completion of work within specified timeframes, including site inspections, safety compliance, and documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Adherence to safety standards, including safety files, risk assessments, and legal compliance.
• Provision of qualified personnel such as trade-tested mechanical fitters, gas register certified personnel, and electrical specialists with relevant CVs and certifications.
• Implementation of scheduled preventive maintenance for equipment such as compressors, vacuum pumps, gas banks, and associated systems.
• Carrying out repairs, adjustments, and replacements as per detailed service schedules.
• Use of approved spare parts, tools, and consumables, with documentation of usage.
• Completion of service reports, fault reports, and work sheets with signatures and timestamps.
• Compliance with quality standards, CIDB registration, and relevant certifications.

Skills Requirements

The tender requires bidders to demonstrate:

• Qualified and certified technical personnel, including trade-tested mechanical fitters, electricians, and gas register certified staff.
• Experience in servicing and maintaining medical gas systems and associated equipment.
