Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a suitably qualified service provider to supply, install, and maintain electrical fencing at the NHBRC Head Office in Sunninghill. The successful bidder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of secure fencing infrastructure that meets the specified technical standards and operational requirements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply of electrical fencing materials and equipment
• Installation of the electrical fencing at the designated site
• Ongoing maintenance and servicing of the installed fencing to ensure operational integrity

The work will be carried out at the NHBRC Head Offices located at 27 Leeuwkop Road, Sunninghill, Randburg, Gauteng.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• The fencing system must be compliant with relevant safety and security standards
• The supply must include all necessary materials, components, and accessories for installation
• The installation must be executed by qualified personnel with experience in electrical fencing projects
• The maintenance services must include regular inspections, repairs, and system upgrades as needed
• The bidder must provide proof of registration with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) with a contractor grading designation of 1SH or higher
• The bidder must demonstrate relevant experience in similar electrical fencing projects

Skills Requirements

The successful service provider must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Qualified and experienced personnel in electrical fencing installation and maintenance
• Proven track record of completing similar projects, supported by references and completed project schedules
• Ability to provide ongoing maintenance and technical support
• Knowledge of relevant safety, security, and electrical standards
• Registration with the CIDB at contractor grading of 1SH or higher
• Capability to manage site access, logistics, and safety protocols effectively
