Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations from qualified service providers for the supply and delivery of fencing materials, including galvanised wire, weld mesh, razor wire, and sliding gates, to the Alfred Duma Local Municipality. The aim is to procure quality fencing materials that meet specified standards to support municipal infrastructure needs.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of specified fencing materials as detailed in the quotation notice, with delivery to the Nursery in Carbineer Road. The materials include galvanised plain wire, weld mesh, K-Standard fencing, razor wire, and sliding gates. The procurement process involves submission, evaluation, and award based on set criteria.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of 3.15mm STD Galvanised Plain Wire (50kg x4)
• Supply of 1.6mm STD Galvanised Plain Pink Wire (5kg, 315m x1)
• Supply of 100 x 50 x 2.50mm Weld Mesh (1.8m height, 30m x20)
• Supply of K-Standard 2.4 H (Y-Lite) fencing (50 units)
• Supply of 500mm Flat Wrap Razor Wire (15m x40)
• Supply of 4m x 1.8m Clear View Sliding Gates (2 units)

All materials must conform to the detailed specifications provided and be suitable for municipal fencing applications. Goods must be delivered to the specified location within the stipulated timeframe.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience and track record in supplying fencing materials and related products.
• Knowledge of municipal procurement procedures and compliance with relevant legislation (Section 83 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, and Sections 110 and 112 of the Municipal Finance Management Act).
• Ability to provide necessary documentation such as BBBEE certificates, municipal accounts, and supplier registration details.
• Capacity to meet technical specifications and delivery deadlines.
• Understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
