Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a Particle Count Test service for the Murchison Hospital's operating theatres. The service aims to perform particle count testing in accordance with ISO 14644-1 standards to ensure compliance with cleanliness and air quality requirements in the operating theatres over a period of 36 months.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of particle counting equipment and services.
• Conducting particle count tests in the operating theatres at six-month intervals (total of 6 tests over 3 years).
• Testing to be performed in accordance with ISO 14644-1 standards for clean-room classification (ISO 8).
• Preparation and submission of test reports, certificates, and calibration details.
• Validation of operating theatres' filtration and airflow systems through particle count and airflow measurements.
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant health, safety, and building regulations.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Particle count testing in operating theatres to ISO 14644-1 standards, specifically targeting ISO Class 8.
• Testing to be performed at six-month intervals, totaling six tests over 36 months.
• Use of calibrated and approved test equipment with calibration certificates provided.
• Validation of airflow and filtration systems, including air flow measurement and certification.
• Provision of detailed reports, test certificates, and calibration details for each test.
• Adherence to specified filtration standards: Pleated Primaries, Secondary Pocket Filters (35%-85%), High Efficiency Secondary (95%), and HEPA filters.
• Compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and safety procedures.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Technical expertise in particle count testing and validation of clean-room environments, specifically operating theatres.
• Experience with ISO 14644-1 standards and clean-room classification testing.
• Ability to calibrate and provide calibration certificates for testing equipment.
• Knowledge of hospital and healthcare environment standards and safety protocols.
• Qualified personnel with appropriate training and certification in air quality testing and validation.
• Capability to prepare comprehensive reports, certificates, and documentation as required.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, including submission of safety files and adherence to health and safety specifications.
