Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to hire one (1) weighbridge at Transnet Soc Limited, operating as Transnet Port Terminals (TPT), at the Nqurha Container Terminal for a period of twelve (12) months. The service provider is expected to provide maintenance, experience, and certification compliance to ensure proper operation and management of the weighbridge equipment.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of a weighbridge for a 12-month period at the specified terminal.
• Ensuring the weighbridge is maintained according to required standards.
• Providing necessary documentation such as maintenance records, calibration reports, and verification certificates.
• Demonstrating relevant experience and certification compliance of the service provider and artisans.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender are as follows:

• The service provider must be accredited according to SANS 10378, with the certificate attached.
• The artisan involved must be certified as a Millwright, Electrician, or Fitter, with relevant certification attached.
• The service provider must have experience in leasing out weighbridge equipment, supported by at least three reference letters detailing project descriptions, values, contact details, and years of work.
• The artisan must have a minimum of three years of experience, supported by a CV attached to the submission.
• The provider must submit maintenance records for the past six months, including verification certificates and calibration reports.

Skills Requirements

The skills requirements for the tender include:

• Accredited certification in accordance with SANS 10378.
• Certified artisan with qualifications as a Millwright, Electrician, or Fitter.
• Proven experience in leasing and maintaining weighbridge equipment, supported by reference letters.
• Minimum of three years of relevant artisan experience, demonstrated through a CV.
• Ability to provide and maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records, verification certificates, and calibration reports.
