Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider for the supply and delivery of a Refrigerated Centrifuge at NHLS Helen Joseph LSS and Coronation Laboratory, JSW Business Unit-Gauteng Region. The successful bidder will also provide maintenance, installation, staff training, and post-warranty support as specified.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply of a refrigerated centrifuge meeting specified technical specifications.
• Delivery of the equipment within 2-4 weeks.
• Installation and staff training with certification.
• Provision of a maintenance contract for 3 years post-warranty, with preventative maintenance at least twice a year.
• Warranty coverage for 24 months, including filter replacement costs.
• Supply of operator manuals and necessary documentation.

The equipment must meet the following specifications:

• Refrigerated: Yes
• Maximum rotation speed: 14,000 min^-1
• Maximum centrifugal force: 20,800 xg
• Maximum rotor speed: 5000 rpm
• Cooling: Refrigerated, with temperature range -9°C to 40°C
• Sample temperature control
• Preventative maintenance: Minimum twice a year within warranty period
• Operator manual: Yes
• Delivery period: 2-4 weeks
• Warranty period: 24 months, including filter replacement

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Capability to supply equipment that complies with the technical specifications.
• Experience in installing and commissioning laboratory centrifuges.
• Provision of staff training with certification on delivery and follow-up.
• Ability to provide ongoing maintenance and support for at least three years post-warranty.
• Provision of relevant certifications such as operator manuals, calibration certificates, and compliance with SAHPRA, ISO13485/9001 standards.
• Compliance with all legal, tax, and BBBEE requirements, including submission of valid certificates and affidavits.
