Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider to supply hygiene services at Jameson Park Terminal for a duration of 24 months. The aim is to ensure the provision of effective hygiene solutions to maintain cleanliness and safety at the terminal over the specified period.

Scope

The scope of work involves providing comprehensive hygiene services at Jameson Park Terminal for a period of 24 months. This includes the delivery, management, and execution of hygiene-related tasks as specified in the RFQ documentation. The tender also encompasses participation in a compulsory clarification meeting and adherence to submission deadlines.

Technical Requirements

• Use of the Transnet Digital Procurement System (TDPS) eSupplier Portal for bid submission.
• Completion and submission of the online pricing schedule via the TDPS system.
• Provision of evidence for compliance with B-BBEE status, including certificates or sworn affidavits.
• Submission of all mandatory and essential returnable documents as specified in the RFQ.
• Adherence to the specified lead time from the date of request.
• Compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, including submission of Tax Clearance Certificates or PINs.
• Participation in a compulsory tender clarification meeting scheduled for 22 July 2026.
• Provision of necessary disclosures related to conflicts of interest, relationships with Transnet personnel, and compliance with relevant policies.
• Adherence to confidentiality, data protection, and POPIA regulations during the bidding and contract execution processes.

Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in using electronic procurement platforms, specifically the Transnet eTender management system.
• Knowledge of hygiene service standards and best practices relevant to terminal operations.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks, including B-BBEE, tax laws, and POPIA.
• Ability to prepare and submit comprehensive bid documentation, including pricing schedules and supporting evidence.
• Effective communication skills for engagement during clarification meetings and correspondence with Transnet officials.
• Capacity to manage and deliver hygiene services consistently over the contract period, demonstrating technical competence and operational efficiency.
