Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the design, development, and delivery of an Executive Development Programme (EDP) for SANSA employees. The programme aims to support SANSA’s talent management, leadership development, and succession planning strategies by building a sustainable leadership pipeline aligned with SANSA’s mandate, strategic objectives, and governance environment.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Designing, developing, and delivering an EDP targeting employees identified for future executive roles.
• Covering leadership areas such as:
• Programme and Project Leadership
• Technical and Research Leadership
• Operations and Corporate Services Leadership
• Strategic, Financial, and Governance Leadership
• Implementing a blended learning model comprising face-to-face sessions and virtual/online sessions.
• Utilizing practical learning approaches including case studies, action learning projects, simulations, coaching, and facilitated discussions.
• Incorporating participant assessment methodologies.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the programme include:

• A blended learning approach with physical and online sessions.
• Practical and interactive learning methods such as case studies, simulations, and coaching.
• Structured participant assessment processes.
• Provision of learning materials and interactive components.
• Demonstration of structured, comprehensive, and practical methodology tailored to SANSA’s strategic and operational environment.
• Evidence of trainer/lecturer experience, qualifications (minimum NQF Level 8, with a preference for Level 9), and expertise in executive development and leadership topics.
• Company experience in delivering similar programmes over the past five years, with verifiable references.

Skills Requirements

The skills and expertise required from service providers include:

• Experienced trainers/lecturers with qualifications at NQF Level 8 or higher, preferably Level 9 (e.g., MBA, MSc Management, Public Administration).
• Proven track record in delivering executive development programmes, especially in leadership, governance, and strategic topics.
• Facilitation skills in strategic leadership, people management, governance, and organisational leadership.
• Capability in designing engaging, practical, and interactive learning experiences.
• Ability to assess participant progress and programme effectiveness.
• Strong company experience with references for similar projects conducted within the last five years.
