Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure pest control services for a duration of 36 months at the Richards Bay Mortuary, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are maintained through professional pest management solutions.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of pest control services at Richards Bay Forensic Mortuary.
• Supply and installation of pest control equipment, including 21 pest control stations and 7 luminous fly control units.
• Regular maintenance and servicing of installed equipment at least twice a month over a 36-month rental period.
• Installation of pest control stations to control insects, egg cases, cast skins, and rodents externally around the building.

Technical Requirements

• Supply and installation of pest control stations that are firmly mounted and capable of controlling insects, eggs, and cast skins.
• Placement of 21 external rodent bait stations.
• Supply and installation of 7 luminous fly control units with high UV output, large catch area, and safety compliance.
• Equipment must meet specified specifications, including compliance with health and safety standards.
• Maintenance of stations and units at least twice monthly for 36 months.
• Certificates issued by Agriculture and updated CIPC registration are required for operators.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified pest control operators with valid certificates issued by Agriculture.
• Technical expertise in installing, operating, and maintaining pest control equipment.
• Ability to provide ongoing servicing and troubleshooting for pest control stations and fly units.
• Experience in pest management within sensitive environments such as mortuaries and health facilities.
