Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure transport services for the transportation of junior councillors and related logistical arrangements for the event scheduled on 16 June 2026. The service aims to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transport from various pick-up points to the designated venue and back, adhering to specified timings and locations.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of transport (return trip) for 40 junior councillors from various locations in Vredenburg, Langebaan, Saldanha, Steenbergs Cove, and Laingville.
• Pick-up at designated points at 08h00 and drop-off at Skillpad Hall, Vredenburg, with return by 12h00 on 16 June 2026.
• Transport services must be provided on the specified date, with the possibility of the municipality accepting part or all of the quote if multiple items are involved.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Transport of 40 junior councillors in a safe, reliable vehicle suitable for group transport.
• Timely pick-up and drop-off as per schedule: departure at 08h00, return by 12h00.
• Transport must adhere to safety standards and be capable of accommodating the specified number of passengers comfortably.
• All waste generated during the transportation or related activities must be properly contained and disposed of at registered facilities, with certificates of disposal submitted upon completion.
• Pricing must include all delivery charges and be compliant with specifications.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Potential service providers must demonstrate:

• Compliance with the General Conditions of Contract and any special conditions specified in the tender.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and active status.
• Provision of valid municipal accounts or lease agreements confirming the business address.
• Submission of all compulsory forms, including:
• Declaration of interest (MBD 4)
• Preference Points Claim form (MBD 6.1)
• Certificate for independent bid determination (MBD 9)
• Proof of B-BBEE status (certificate or affidavit).
• Ability to provide safe, reliable, and compliant transport services on the specified date.
• Experience in providing similar transport services will be advantageous.
