Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to facilitate a two-day Sports Governance and Development Workshop aimed at strengthening local sports structures. The workshop seeks to improve governance, support compliance, promote collaboration, and capacitate local sport clubs. Additionally, it aims to facilitate the formation of a Cape Agulhas Sports Forum that feeds into the Overberg Sports Council, rather than establishing a new Sports Council.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Facilitating a 2-day interactive workshop with approximately 20 participants from local sport clubs and stakeholders.
• Guiding participants through NPO/NGO registration processes.
• Providing a post-workshop report summarizing activities, listing forum committee members, and recommending next steps.

Technical Requirements

• Facilitation of an engaging and interactive two-day workshop covering governance, registration, and collaboration topics.
• Preparation of a comprehensive post-workshop report.
• Minimum functionality score of 70 out of 100 during evaluation.
• Adherence to the evaluation criteria, including track record, qualifications, work plan, and facilitation capacity.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in facilitating governance and development workshops, with at least 3–4 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver interactive training and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations for future actions.
• Knowledge of sports governance, registration processes for NPO/NGO, and local sports structures.
• Strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills.
