Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider or providers to supply, deliver, and off-load stackable steel chairs for community use, gatherings, and related activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and community needs.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of stackable steel chairs with specific dimensions:
• Overall Height: 780 - 850 mm
• Seat Height: 430 – 470 mm
• Seat Width: 430 - 500 mm
• Seat Depth: 400 - 480 mm
• Backrest Height: 300 - 450 mm
• Supply, delivery, and off-loading of the chairs to the Municipal Stores, Technical Services Yard, Tudor Road, Chamdor, Krugersdorp.
• Delivery to be made after receipt of the official purchase order, within specified weekdays and hours.

Technical Requirements

The chairs must meet the following technical standards:

• Design specifications including dimensions and ergonomic standards.
• Compliance with community use standards and durability requirements.
• All costs, including transportation, must be inclusive in the quotation.
• Pricing must be inclusive of VAT if applicable.
• Quotations will be evaluated based on price (80 points) and transformation/economic development goals (20 points).

Skills and Skills Requirements

The tender emphasizes the need for bidders to demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in supplying similar furniture or steel products, including previous projects of similar size or scope.
• Availability of key personnel with appropriate qualifications and experience to execute the contract.
• Availability of infrastructure and resources such as physical facilities, plant, and equipment necessary for timely delivery.
• Capacity to meet technical specifications and quality standards.
• Knowledge of local content requirements and compliance with procurement policies.

Additional Requirements

All bidders must submit mandatory documents, including signed municipal bidding documents, municipal rates/taxes or service charges, proof of registration on the Central Suppliers Database, and declarations regarding previous supply chain practices and compliance. Bidders should also demonstrate their capacity to deliver within the specified timeframe and adhere to all procurement conditions.
