Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to establish a master agreement with a service provider for the provision of radiography testing services to Transnet's foundry business at Koedoespoort. The aim is to ensure the supply of high-quality radiography testing over a period of 12 months, supporting the foundry's quality assurance and safety requirements.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of radiography testing services for the foundry business at Koedoespoort. It includes conducting inspections, testing, and related activities as specified in the Schedule of Requirements and Work Orders. The services are to meet technical specifications, safety standards, and compliance requirements, including railway safety regulations where applicable.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of radiography testing that complies with the specifications outlined in Schedule 1.
• Adherence to railway safety requirements and regulations as specified in Schedule 1.
• Use of appropriate testing equipment, calibration, and testing procedures.
• Preparation and supply of test samples and specimens at no additional cost.
• Inspection and testing at various stages, including at the supplier’s premises if required.
• Prompt replacement or repair of defective or non-conforming goods or services.
• Compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Implementation of risk management and safety protocols, including the maintenance of a contract Risk Register.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Qualified radiography testing personnel with relevant certifications and experience.
• Technical expertise in radiography equipment operation, calibration, and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of railway safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
• Competence in handling and testing materials in accordance with technical specifications.
