Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the safe and efficient moving of laboratory and office furniture from the current location to a new building in the Free State Bethlehem area. The aim is to ensure minimal disruption to laboratory and administrative operations while adhering to specified standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Moving and transporting various laboratory and office furniture and equipment, including cabinets, shelves, desks, chairs, safes, fridges, freezers, and other specified items.
• Handling specialized items such as incubators, centrifuges, fire extinguishers, and safety cabinets.
• Providing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to execute the move.
• Ensuring proper handling, packing, and transportation to prevent damage.
• Completing the move within the stipulated timeframe and according to the technical specifications provided.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to the detailed list of items to be moved, as specified in the scope, including furniture, laboratory equipment, and consumables.
• Compliance with safety standards and proper handling procedures for sensitive and hazardous items.
• Provision of a detailed pricing schedule, including costs for removal, transportation, and any other associated expenses.
• Completion of all work within the agreed timeline, with provisions for delays and penalties as per contractual terms.
• Submission of all required documentation, including signed forms, compliance certificates, and references.
