Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a suitably qualified and accredited training institution or service provider to deliver Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training to members of the Johannesburg Tourism Company (JTC) Health and Safety Committee. The training aims to equip committee members with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively perform their responsibilities in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training for six (6) members of the Johannesburg Tourism Company Health and Safety Committee.
• The training must cover responsibilities, workplace hazards, risk management, inspections, meetings, and compliance monitoring.
• The training must be delivered at JTC offices in Sandton, with all necessary training materials and accredited certification.
• Implementation of quality assurance measures, including collection of participant feedback, evaluation forms, and assessment results.
• Delivery duration is expected to be approximately three (3) days.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• The training provider must be accredited with the Department of Labour and HWSETA.
• The training must be aligned with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant regulations.
• The provider must deliver comprehensive training that ensures participants understand their legal responsibilities, workplace hazards, and compliance procedures.
• The training must include assessments, feedback collection, and post-training support to ensure effectiveness.
• All training materials and certification must be accredited and compliant with relevant standards.

Skills Requirements

The successful training institution or service provider must possess:

• Proven experience in delivering Occupational Health and Safety training, particularly to workplace committees.
• Accreditation with the Department of Labour and HWSETA.
• Ability to develop and deliver training content that is relevant, engaging, and compliant with legislative requirements.
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills to measure participant understanding and training effectiveness.
• Capacity to provide quality assurance and post-training support.
• Excellent organizational and logistical skills to deliver training at the specified location within the stipulated timeframe.
