Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure a service provider for the deep cleaning of urinals, toilets, basins, and showers within the facilities department of NHLS Sandringham. The service aims to ensure hygienic and well-maintained sanitation facilities over a period of twelve (12) months, with services rendered on a monthly basis.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Deep cleaning of toilets and urinals
• Cleaning of basins
• Cleaning of showers
• Services to be performed regularly each month for a duration of 12 months

The deep cleaning should be comprehensive, covering all specified fixtures and ensuring sanitation standards are met consistently.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the service provider include:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in rendering deep cleaning services for restrooms, including showers
• Provision of at least 3 contactable references where similar services have been provided
• Submission of a detailed proposal outlining how the cleaning services will be executed, monitored, and controlled
• Use of chemicals that do not leave an odour after 24 hours, with data sheets for each chemical used
• Service to be performed over weekends, if applicable
• All travel expenses included in the bid
• Pricing to cover monthly and yearly costs, excluding VAT
• Compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from the service provider include:

• Proven experience in deep cleaning of sanitation facilities, particularly restrooms with showers
• Ability to provide references demonstrating successful past projects
• Capability to supply detailed chemical data sheets and demonstrate the use of odourless cleaning agents
• Competence in executing cleaning over weekends and managing logistics accordingly
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning services
• Capacity to monitor and control service quality effectively
