Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a service provider capable of delivering comprehensive maintenance, servicing, and repair services for microscopes across various laboratories in Limpopo. The aim is to ensure that microscopes are kept in optimal working condition to support diagnostic and research activities within the laboratories.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• On-site servicing, maintenance, and repairs of microscopes in multiple laboratories within Limpopo.
• Provision of labour, assessment, and necessary parts or accessories for repairs.
• Completion of work across numerous laboratories, including but not limited to CN Phathudi, Elim, Giyani, Kgapane, Letaba, Louis Trichardt, Malamulele, Messina, Namakgale, Sekororo, Siloam, Tshildini, Tzaneen, Donald Fraser, Dilokong, Ellisrus, George Masebe, Groblersdal, Jane Furse, Matlala, Mecklenburg, Mokopane, Nystroom, Philadelphia, Portgietersrus, St Ritas, Thabazimbi, Warmbaths, Witpoort, Botlokwa, Helen Frans, Knobel, Lebowakgomo, Mankweng, Seshego, Zebediela, and others.
• Inclusion of delivery costs, labour, assessment, and compliance with technical specifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• Servicing of microscopes must be performed on-site at each laboratory.
• Microscopes must meet the specifications outlined in the tender, including specific make and model details.
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance with ISO 17025 standards or similar accreditation.
• Bidder must demonstrate proven experience with similar projects, including recent references (not older than 3 years).
• All work must adhere to the scope, quality, and safety standards specified by NHLS.
• Delivery and performance timelines must be strictly observed.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Technical expertise in servicing, maintaining, and repairing microscopes, specifically trinocular microscopes such as the Olympus CX23 LED R F 51, and other specified models.
• Qualified technicians with relevant certifications and experience in microscopy equipment.
• Ability to provide on-site technical support and assessments.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 standards or equivalent quality management systems.
• Proven track record with similar laboratory equipment maintenance projects.
• Capacity to handle multiple sites simultaneously with efficient scheduling and resource management.
