Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply antimicrobial susceptibility testing services and related consumables at the NICD Sandringham Campus. The service provider is expected to deliver specified testing panels, culture media, and broth solutions to support antimicrobial susceptibility testing, ensuring compliance with the specified technical and quality standards.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply and delivery of antimicrobial susceptibility testing panels (Sensititre panels).
• Provision of culture media, including Mueller-Hinton Broth with TES and Cation-Adjusted Mueller-Hinton Broth with TES and Lysed Horse Blood.
• Delivery of specified quantities of consumables: 250 panels, 250 boxes of broth with TES, and 80 boxes of Mueller-Hinton Broth with TES.
• All services and goods must be delivered in accordance with the specifications, within the agreed timeframes, and in compliance with the contractual terms.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Supply of each box of Sensititre panels containing 10 panels, with a total requirement of 250 panels.
• Supply of each box of Sensititre Cation-Adjusted Mueller-Hinton Broth containing 10 tubes, with a total of 250 boxes.
• Supply of each box of Mueller-Hinton Broth with TES containing 100 tubes, with a total of 80 boxes.
• All consumables must meet the specified quality standards and be suitable for antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
• Delivery must be completed in accordance with the schedule specified by the NICD, with no goods or services rendered before official purchase orders are issued.
• Adherence to all relevant contractual, quality, and safety standards, including the General Conditions of Contract issued by the National Treasury.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying laboratory consumables and reagents for antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
• Technical expertise in handling and delivering microbiological testing materials.
• Qualified personnel capable of understanding the technical specifications and ensuring quality compliance.
• Ability to coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery and maintain the integrity of sensitive laboratory materials.
• Compliance with all regulatory and quality assurance standards relevant to laboratory consumables and testing reagents.
