Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the cleaning of gardens and grounds at Greys Hospital for a period of five months. The scope includes maintaining garden areas, mowing, trimming, pruning, weed control, removal of debris, and general grounds maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.

Scope

• Provision of garden maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and weed control.
• Removal of rubbish, debris, and garden refuse on a weekly basis.
• Tree trimming, removal of fallen/dead trees, and replacement of shrubs or plants as needed.
• Maintenance of pathways, gutters, and driveways, including sweeping and blowing.
• Mulching, site clean-up, and perimeter fence maintenance.
• Provision of trained personnel and machinery for ongoing groundskeeping activities.
• Adherence to safety standards, including submission of Job Safety Analyses and Material Safety Data Sheets.

Technical Requirements

The service provider must ensure:

• Availability of adequate machinery and accessories such as brush cutters, lawn mowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, wheelbarrows, hoses, ladders, spades, rakes, and grass bags.
• Compliance with specified standards for quality and safety.
• Implementation of proper waste management practices, including removal of garden refuse and debris.
• Adherence to specified working hours: Monday to Friday, 07h00 to 16h00, with provisions for relievers and flexible scheduling as negotiated.
• Provision of a detailed project roll-out plan, including timelines and resource allocation.
• Submission of relevant safety documentation, including Job Safety Analyses and Medical Surveillance Letters.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in grounds and garden maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated through company profile and references.
• Ability to operate and maintain relevant machinery and equipment effectively.
• Trained personnel skilled in tree pruning, shrub trimming, weed control, and general landscaping.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards.
• Capability to prepare and submit safety documentation and project plans.
• Financial capacity to support the scope of work, demonstrated through financial statements or bank support letters.
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliver quality service as per the specifications outlined.
