Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a high-performance digital mixing console suitable for professional live sound applications. The solution aims to enhance the theatre's sound control capabilities by providing advanced features such as multiple inputs, extensive networking options, built-in effects, and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring quality and reliability for live performances.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of a comprehensive digital mixing console with specified technical features, sound cards, and stage box equipment. The project covers:

• Provision of a digital mixing console with specified inputs, outputs, and networking capabilities.
• Delivery of sound cards and stage box units with microphone preamplifiers.
• Provision of accessories, cabling, and necessary sound cards.
• Presentation of detailed brochures and technical specifications.
• Warranty, support, and maintenance services for the supplied equipment.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the digital mixing console and associated equipment include:

• 144 input channels, 123 mix buses, and a 21-inch touchscreen interface.
• Networking support via HyperMAC/AES50 supporting up to 480 inputs/outputs at 96 kHz.
• Built-in effects engines, VCA/POPulation groups, and motorized faders.
• Redundant power supplies and robust physical design (flightcase included).
• Sound cards such as KT-DANTE64, ES50 Network Bridge, and USB Sound Card I/O expansion.
• 48-input, 16-output stage box with microphone preamplifiers and digital networking capabilities.
• Compatibility with MADI, Dante, and AES50 protocols.
• Additional features include Bluetooth, wireless transceivers, and optional remote control.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in supplying and installing professional digital audio equipment of similar size and complexity, with at least three completed projects.
• Technical expertise in digital audio networking, signal processing, and live sound engineering.
• Ability to provide detailed technical brochures and specifications.
• Capability to deliver comprehensive support, warranty, and maintenance services.
• Compliance with all relevant safety, health, and legal standards, including occupational health and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of local procurement policies and experience working within the South African context.
