Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the supply of sterile syringe filters that meet specified technical and quality standards. The procurement aims to ensure the delivery of high-quality, sterile filters suitable for medical or laboratory use, with considerations for preference points based on BBBEE status and compliance with government procurement policies.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Provision of 3 boxes of sterile syringe filters, each containing 50 units.
• Specifications for the filters include:
  • Material: Durapore hydrophilic PVDF membrane and Durapel hydrophobic PVDF vent filter.
  • Housing: Copolyester with polyethylene cap.
  • Pressure limit: 3.1 bar (45 psi) at 25°C.
  • Average water flow rate: 100 mL/min at 1.4 bar (20 psi).
  • Filter pore size: 0.22 µm for Durapore GV membrane; 0.1 µm for Durapel vent filter.
  • Filtration area: 10 cm².
  • Temperature limit: 45°C.
  • Sterility: Gamma irradiated.
  • Connections: Female Luer-Lok inlet; male tubing adapter or male Luer-Lok outlet.
  • Dimensions: Diameter approximately 1.7 cm (without filling bell); length approximately 6.9 cm (without filling bell).
• Additional requirements include compliance with government procurement policies, submission of relevant documentation, and adherence to technical specifications.

The technical specifications for the syringe filters are as follows:

• Material: Durapore hydrophilic PVDF membrane for filtration; Durapel hydrophobic PVDF vent filter.

Additional Requirements

The supplier must provide:

• Specifications, catalogues, and Certificates of Analysis (COA) for the items.
• Documentation demonstrating compliance with BBBEE and other procurement policies.
• Completed declarations and forms as specified, including SBD4 and SBD1.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a report not older than 2 months.
• Adherence to government procurement conditions and submission of all required documentation by the specified deadline.
